What you need to know about Supervising a bouncy castle
Our team will set up the bouncy castle for you and make sure that when we leave it is all safe for the duration of your party. All the operational information you need for your party will be on the delivery sheet, but we will also take you through everything you need to know before we leave. The information will contain how many children can go on the inflatable at any one time, where the mats need to be, and how to turn the inflatable on and off.
We do recommend that the person in charge of supervising the castle does not let children climb on castle walls or do somersault. Shoes should be removed and glasses may need to be removed. Any sharp objects such as badges, and any toys should not be used on the inflatable.
It should be supervised at all times by a competent person over 18 years old.
During the event, someone should continue to check the castle to make sure none of the anchor points have come loose, that the inflation tube between the castle and blower is secure and that no any rips or tears have occurred.
If the supervising person sees an issue, then they need to make sure the children come off the castle until the issue is fixed. Please call us for advise if it is not a simple problem you can fix yourself.
You need to make sure that all the children using the bouncy castle are doing so sensibly and no being to aggressive in their play. Over exited children are more likely to cause an accident that those playing calmly.
You also need to ensure that you have a similar age range on the bouncy castle at any one time. Having teenagers on the castle while your toddlers are on there is undoubtedly going to cause the little ones to get hurt.
Our normal advice is, if you are questioning yourself as to whether the activity on the inflatable is safe, then it probably isn't, so you need to intervene.
